The YMCA of Long Island provided critical services during the COVID-19 pandemic such as childcare for essential workers, food drives, and other forms of aid at a time of unprecedented need. My job was to visually showcase the YMCA’s value to the public good in the organization’s 2020 Annual Report. The marketing director described the YMCA as the fabric of the community and this was even more apparent during the difficult times of 2020.
I took an understated approach, using cool green and blue colors and simple iconography to illustrate how the YMCA truly is the fabric of the community. This theme is felt by the impactful stories and data points.
